Divas, Drag, & Drinks is a delightful Las Vegas production. Frank Marino, Las Vegas’ longest running headliner, brings laughter and glamour to the stage of the 24 Oxford Room at the Virgin Hotel on Sundays during the 75 minute drag salute to female performers.

Frank – aka Ms. Las Vegas – is famous for his Joan Rivers impression which he shares between the acts he introduces. He played Rivers for 25 years at the Riviera Hotel and Casino in the long-running drag show An Evening at La Cage. Then entertained audiences at the Linq for ten years followed by another three years at the Trop. But wait – there’s much more.

Frank has the audience laughing and applauding his Joan impersonations, a long-standing integral part of his “schtick”, but there are plenty of other jokes and patter which are mostly sparkling new, crisp, and on target. If you have seen him before, you can look forward to some fresh hilarious material. As Master – or is it Mistress – of Ceremonies, he makes us laugh out loud.

In addition, the audience members look forward to all the new spectacular outfits he wears. Each time he is on stage to present the next drag act, he treats the crowd to another fabulous fashionable wardrobe change. Many may know that Bob Mackie was famous for designing many of Cher’s unique outfits through the years, but did you know he dressed Joan in many of her outfits as well.

Sometimes it is hard to believe that the celebrity impersonators on stage are actually guys in costume. There’s someone from every generation as they lip-sync and portray everyone from Judy Garland and Cher to Madonna, Pink, Lizzo and Beyoncé. Bring some single dollars – or someone there will change your larger bills for you – and have the fun of sticking those singles into the costumes or just handing them over in return for big smiles and more fun. There are two male dancers in the show who are not in drag and oh how they can dance!

Toward the end of his show, Frank talks frankly in a no holds barred Q & A session. Questions may range from inquiries about his dresses to details about his multiple plastic surgeries.

This is an old style Vegas show – meaning gliz and glamour. And some great graphics add to the pleasure. The show plays at the Virgin Hotel on select Sundays at 4 p.m. On Friday November 8th, you can enjoy this show at Freedom Hall in Sun City Anthem in Henderson, Nevada. And the next day, Saturday November 9th, catch the show on stage at the Starbright Theater at Sun City in Summerlin. I enjoyed Divas, Drag, & Drinks and will certainly return to see it again.
